• Aspen Public Schools is proud to offer engaging, fun learning experiences that extend beyond the regular school day.

Expanded Learning includes two primary elements. One is the after-school program (referred to as After School Education and Safety or ASES). The other are programs that happen during non-school days, such as “Winter Blast” or summer programs (referred to as Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs or ELOP).

  • Hello Meadow Families!

As we have been progressing through the semester we have been working on kicking and striking with soccer balls with the lower grades. The upper grades have been working on dribbling and shooting with basketballs on the blacktop! Students have been understanding the basics of these skills and how to treat the equipment with respect!

When it has been raining the students have been working on nutrition, cup-stacking and fitness videos! We appreciate all their flexibility and hope for more sunny days in the future!

  • Hello Aspen Meadow Families,

Our goal with the Aspen Meadow Physical Education Program is to teach a variety of skills, rules, fitness, and sportsmanship to all of our TK-6th students. These goals will be met through different sport units, fitness units, games and activities that align with the State of California Physical Education Standards.

For our students this is the daily expectation for them:

    1. Be Willing To Try

    2. Stay On Task

    3. Stay Safe

    4. Treat Others With Respect

    5. Treat Equipment With Respect

    6. Do Your Job

    7. Have Fun

Please make sure that all students are adhering to the proper dress code. Students will be on a variety of surfaces and it is important that they are wearing tennis shoes daily to be able to move safely in our spaces. Please also make sure that students are bringing out water and having all doctors notes and medicine prescribed by doctors sent to the nurses office.

We are so thankful for your students participation in Physical Education as they grow and learn how to be physically fit for a lifetime.
