The Community Garden Coordinator (CGC) will be responsible for helping launch and oversee all aspects of the Aspen Community Garden. The CGC supports the Aspen Garden leadership team in project management, research, data analysis, meeting facilitation, record keeping, and working with staff, students, and community partners. The CGC will bring strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nonprofit professionals, residents, businesses, funders, community partners, and others from diverse backgrounds.

As an English Language Learner (EL) Intervention Coordinator at Aspen Public Schools, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic success and linguistic development of students whose first language is not English. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other education partners to implement effective strategies and interventions to meet the diverse needs of English Language Learners.

Under the direction of the Expand Learning Program Coordinator, the site leads the program for elementary-aged students in the Extended Learning program by supervising students and staff in classroom and outdoor activities.

The Guidance and Learning Specialist for grades TK-6 is responsible for creating a school environment that is supportive, inclusive, and respectful. Their primary goal is to promote the social and emotional well-being and academic success of all students. The Guidance and Learning Specialist works collaboratively with students, teachers, staff, parents, and the broader community to lead the implementation of programs that cultivate a positive school culture. Directly reports to the principal.

The Family Resource Assistant, McKinney Vento Liaison, plays a vital role in identifying Foster or Homeless students through referrals and assessments. This role involves maintaining confidential files for each student and assisting the Family Resource Director with various administrative duties. The office is located at Fresno City Center.

Aspen Public Schools is seeking an experienced certificated music teacher to be responsible for teaching music as part of the school curriculum. Aspen’s music teacher will follow state standard guidelines as set by the CDE which includes the theory and practice of general music, singing and playing musical instruments. They will also assist the Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator with our Winter and Spring performances, as well as the end of the year Talent Shows.
Aspen’s music teacher will create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire students and help them grow in appreciation of music, skilled in playing musical instruments, planning concerts for student participation, including designing after school music courses or clubs.
Job Description:
Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students' needs and examination syllabuses
Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to pupils entering and preparing pupils for examinations
Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources
Create and maintain a network of contacts to ensure work continuity
Communicate with academic staff and parents
Assess pupils' abilities, providing feedback and writing report.
