Welcome to Aspen Expanded Learning!

Aspen Public Schools is proud to offer engaging, fun learning experiences that extend beyond the regular school day. Expanded Learning includes two primary elements. One is the after-school program (referred to as After School Education and Safety or ASES). The other are programs that happen during non-school days, such as “Winter Blast” or summer programs (referred to as Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs or ELOP).

All these Expanded Learning programs are an integrated part of Aspen Public Schools. We all have the same mission. Aspen’s mission is to transform the community by developing exceptional leaders! Aspen Public Schools unlocks the potential of future Fresno leaders by setting high expectations for all and creating a culture that celebrates everyone’s strengths and background. Expanded Learning programs are an extension of that mission in every possible way.

Purpose and Goals

Expanded Learning’s goal is to make learning fun for students! We recognize that learning happens in many ways, and the activities are intended to engage the whole child as they learn and grow. Expanded learning both supplements and aligns with the school day.
